Yes that is what it does. But under some circumstances it has at last one weak point.

Hmmm … Wie soll man diese Überschrift verstehen. @mailSend macht doch das was es soll. Es verschickt Emails. Ohne wenn und aber. Einfach mit einem Formelbefehl.
Stimmt das tut es. Nur hapert es unter bestimmten Umständen ein wenig mit der Ausführung.
Warum?

What i am talking about this time is a formula language function which slightly does not work the way how it is explained in the online help. At least, what a developers expects when he has read the online help and what he gets under some circumstances can not be really explained with logic.

dann kommt so etwas wie das hier dabei raus.
Diesmal ist es ein Befehl aus der Formelsprache, der nicht ganz so funktioniert wie es in der Online Hilfe formuliert wird. Zumindest ist das was der Entwickler erwartet wenn er die Online Hilfe gelesen hat und das was er unter bestimmten Umständen bekommt nicht unbedingt logisch erklärbar.

Once in a while i stumble upon at last one selection value for the fields type, whether is is editable, computed, computed when composed or computed for display, missing.
Ich bin immer wieder einmal darüber gestolpert, das bei den Auswahlmöglichkeiten für die Art des Feldes, ob es bearbeitbar, berechnet, berechnet zur Anzeige oder berechnet beim Anlegen ist mindestens eine Auswahlmöglichkeit fehlt.
Inspired by a question that was asked over at atnotes.de i have asekd myself what would happen if you want to sum up values of different types in a view. And what if the sum that is calculated is then a crude mix of values which do not belong together.
Inspiriert durch eine Frage bei atnotes.de habe ich mich auch gefragt was man den tun kann, wenn man Summen über Werte verschiedener Ausprägung in einer Ansicht bilden will. Und die Gesamtsumme die automatisch ausgewiesen wird dann einen ziemlich kruden Mix von nicht zusammen gehörenden Werten bildet.
Die Antwort lautet: „Nichts“.

Calculating sums in view is difficult? That guy is crazy! It is a real simple task to do. You simply have to select the column where you want to have a sum displayed, make an entry in the second table folder of the columns properties, that is where the word “sum” is and the rest is done by notes.
Summenbildung in Ansichten ist schwierig? Der spinnt doch! Das ist doch ganz einfach. Da wählt man in der Spalte in der man eine Summe anzeigen lassen will doch einfach nur einen Eintrag im zweiten Reiter bei Summe aus und dann macht Notes das doch für mich.
